Hi guys, new to this forum, tried to do search on this query but couldn't
find much. So what i was wanting to know was ... I have a gq petrol 4.2
not sure what diffs its got, 5 speed ,its an 89 model, 2 inch spring lift heavy duty coils, I've been offerd a chevy diesel v8 (he's not sure if its 6.2, 6.7 or even an 8 lt ,looks like its got a manual fuel pump at the front if that helps)I can't tell either, with a turbo 700 and what looks like a remote transfer case as well, what I was wondering is , is the motor and
auto to much heavier than the 4.2 and 5 speed in it now and will it be okay to put in (I live in Qld) and what troubles do u have with puting in the chev + auto .Would it be better to get an auto adaptor say from marks adaptor or try and use the remote one (at the moment it is sitting in an international 4x4 ute I think). Any info would be a great help.
I'm not on computer much but I'll try and answer any question asap.
thanx Mick
