Power Down

I was just after some advise regards to my 80 saharra 1HD-t, it's always been a bit sluggish off the mark on the road and off road if I stop before going up steps etc its like there is no power. The revs don't go past 1200 and it just sits there.I now have had Injectors replaced, Fuel pump rebuilt. It is all right once on the move but stop and re start and it's all over
It's now better than when I first got the thing but its still sad and to add to the problem I have now put on 35's.

ANY ideas Please?
torque/stall converter???????????????

are the 1hd-t's electronic or mechanical like the 1hz? might be something to do with external control of the governor. maybe a diaphragm getting vacuum when it shouldn't or something silly like that. if you have built the pump and done the injectors there isn't much left to look at. not that I am an expert but its just gotta be something stupid. what happens if you lock the gearbox in L when u take off? might be trying to take off in 3rd like a limp home function or something.

not sure if it's mech / electric but yeh I have tried taking off in low.

The thing is it doesn't always do it, this is why it pisses me off so much

sounds like its might be something electrical. problems like these are a PITA to find. i had a wire rub through and short out intermittently on my old fourby. i found it 6 months later, after replacing ecu's and sensors, it was just one crummy wire that caused me so much trouble. good luck.

this is one thing that worries me, the same goes for the passenger side window, works 85% of the time then stops when it feels like. A mate and I checked the wires with his multi metre etc and the switches

have you checked for corrosion on the fuse connections, or other plugs and wires? check all the plugs that connect to the gearbox and to the fuel pump.

No electronics...its just the fuel aneroid on the piump not allowing full fuel till boost arrives, which means either his turbo is stuffed, or whats infront or behind it is blocked, or the pump is stuffed, and he has had that done, so first thing is t check the obvious things like filter, turbo fan play, then exhaust restriction, after that, maybe the filters on the fuel tanks compression on the motor....could be anything....
