I am trying to find information on fitting 3.7's to a 100 series with live axle front, i have been told to use an 80 series rear carrier and fit the 100 side gears to suit the larger axles, and there is some machining required?
This is full time 4wd so i am thinking that it will be open centre rear diff? how would an lsd go? if not fitted already, what about the front diff? i have an LSD hilux centre, how would this go? (Full time 4wd with LSD F+R) ?
I am looking at the diff gears on ebay, from the States,
cheers Phill,

3.7 is an option in other parts of the world for an 80 series, you will need an 80 centre to fit them too, that bolts straight into a 100 housing, but you then need to decide if you want to machine the lsd to accept the 100 sidegears or change the hubs and axles to 80....all bolts straight on front and back. Down side is new wheels reqd and smaller axle studs...so your probably better making the mod....or even seeing what ratios they make for a 100....i know the v8 and t/d run 4.1 which would be alot better and strionger than a 4.3 aswell as heaps of spares available and std equipment....

How about using the 3.9:1 ratio used in the HDJ100 with 5 speed auto trans?

Jack Macnamara Diffs does a 3.45 to suit an 80 series front and rear. Not sure if this helps you?
