Has anyone out there managed to graft defender flares onto a rangie / disco? Does it look OK?
Pictures??
Cheers,
Adam.

I've got so far as holding them onto the side of my Disco2, and the big problem is that the door shape of the Disco is all curvy and bumpy, whereas the Defender is flat.

Looked at it seriously one day, but they required too much hacking to get a decent fit on Disco Dave, and the wreckers wanted 75 dollar each for them. Too much for an experiment and they were sun affected too. Rubber flares were much cheaper, though not as pretty looking.

I didn't think that they were hugely different to the Rangie spares flares in general shape.

The outline is a little similar but the ones i have seen in the uk fitted to rangies just look wrong, not as bad as the jeep wrangler flares on a disco but still yuk.

I liked the flexibility of the Defender units, but they don't seem to be that durable.
So, what's the best flares to get then?
