I read somewhere that if youve got two tyres that are worn more than the other two to stick em on the front? Any truth to this

Most people would agree..........good tyres on the steer.
In the case of rear wheel drive, you end up with two
rooted tyres and two 50% tyres. Useless..........
If you put the good tyres on the back they wear quicker
than the front and the whole set (4) will be stuffed at
the same time. (so you can tell the missus, we really
need to get some 36's this time)
If you ask the authorities of this subject (VACC), they'll
tell you to to put the good tyres on the back. (going against
traditional opinion.)
Dunno who's right.......I prefer to put the goodies on the back.
Even better.......Rotate the rubber B4 the trouble starts!!!!!!!!!!!

personally id always put the good tyres on the front, as that is where most of your braking is done and also all your steering, but thats me, and its the way i have done it in te past with no dramas,

On road i'd want better tyres on front for steering. Offroad i'd want better tyres on rear as rears are doing most of the work. Depends on how worn they are, as most front tyres become rudders in mud anyway.

yeah thats what i thought, i put the good tyres on the front a while back. But does that mean they'll wear quicker?

Tyres are very unevenly worn, i really wish i paid more attention to em and rotated them properly, oh well they only need to last another 3 months till i can get some simex MT/s
