Also a good idea to let people know a little more about your car when you ask a question. eg. year, engine, wheelbase etc.

suzi i did a 2 inch home made body lift on my short wheel base sierra. biggest pain in tha asss. never goana do one again unless its a proper kit made up, so much easier that way. ended up putting holes in my rusted floor and everything.
good luck to u suzi.
thats my 5 cents worth anyways.

yeah i just did one in my car about two weeks ago.wasn't that hard just follow the instructions.the problems i ran into were some of the female bolts were really hard to do up especially when they are round, but you can tighten them up properly when you have it all together.allso the steering colum wasn't extendable.so i had to use new bolts n washers.or an other rag joint.you can get that on ebay if you want.

My car has a 3 inch body lift and I love it. the gap between the body and the chassis makes cleaning and working on the car so much easier. Much easier to fit a winch. better access to everything. Enough room to raise fuel tank and fit an extra battery. Downside is a higher centre of gravity. Don't forget to lengthen the fuel filler pipe!
