Give Hobbsy a call or PM – he has them at a reasonable price.

 You must have a big bank balance to shop there.

Hobzee has had them in the past, not sure if he still has them but would certainly be able to source them.

Have a look on ebay Pete thats where I got my 4.6's

I got some 4.6's off e-bay about 3-4 weeks ago for $270 per end. (delivered) G & J gears, place was in Melbourne somewhere, and was getting rid of all their old stock.
I know they personally had ran out of 4.6 rear's but could get them through someone else for $570 an end.
At the time 4.88's were available still for both end's. I may be able to find their number if you want it.

Number would be most appreciated. Cant find them in the yellow pages. I saw them on ebay a while ago, but cant find them now either. Dont happen to have the ebay username of the guy who was selling the gears do you????

G&J gears arent that good. Quite a number of them have blown up...

I would just put in some genuine 4.6 gears. 4.8 arent as strong if you still need further gearing look at transfer gears.

been running G&J gears 4.6 for 4 years now, and not a problem,

this is with turbo and 37;s

i've had both diffs out recently and not a blemish on the gears.

From what I understand, there were a bad batch [maybe several] of the G&J gears that gave them a bad name. I have heard good and bad stories – more good that bad in the last year. I have several mates with G&J who give them a hard time with no worries. By the way I have a good Italian aftermarket 4.88 front from Hobbze and it has been fine.
