Is their any point in fitting these to the TD42 GQ model apart from the set-up being cheaper?

Are they any good? any have one?

They are ok but you better off buying a safari with the 3" exhaust as once you get the oil lines n air cleanere sorted you still need to change the dump pipe n exhaust to get it to work rite so end price is about the same

Bet the truck didnt have stock dump pipe n 2.5" zorst if it did the piro would climb faster then the tacho, Ive got a std GU turbo on one of my patrols so add up the costs
if you have an early model td42 you need to mod the sump for the oil return as the block is different, have new oil lines made cos the alt oil feeder is different, new dump pipe cos std ones crap, new zorst cos std ones crap, new air cleaner cos gq will not fit without serious mods, need to make oil feed adapter on turbo, mod turbo infeed or buy gu air box, also need crossover pipe if its not a complete non intercooled kit.

Or buy safari with every thing, including air box n zorst should be $3300 or there about
I know what Id do if I was doin it again
Also why do people do GU turbo up grades n mods if std is so good

I had 118KWs at the rear wheels with my standard turbo. If you put in a 4.2 petrol cam you'll get even more. ;)

All I did was to bump the boost up to 14psi, wind the fuel up a little, yes I had a small water/air intercooler, put a 3 in exhaust on and the only intake pipe that I modified was the turbo to engine. Oh and I only had 33inch tires. :D
