Outer Limits 4x4 Board

One of my tyres is leaking air from the bead. It doesn't appear to have any gunk in there.

Is there any way of resealing a tyre bead without removing the tyre from the rim?

I can feel where the leak is easily enough.

I could take it to a tyre shop but that is a pita and it would be handy to know this for if/when it happens on a track somewhere.

Get some detergent and water and apply it liberally. Then get a lump hammer and give the sidewall a few whacks (not just in the offending location) to see if it will reseat itself.

hey i had a slight leak in my tyres and i found little bits of sand in there couldnt see from the out side took the valve out drove a car on it ( just to brake the bead ) then found there was all shit around the bead cleand it and then was all good

IR is that with the tyre pumped up or flat?

I did just come back from a trip to Woodgate on the weekend. The leak only started just as I was getting to work this morning so maybe sand worked its way in but isn't visible now. I never aired down though as it was only a very easy short sand track.

Tyre pumped up - and best on the car. Have the leaking side at the bottom so any crap can fall out if possible.

As above soapy water but I would deflate the tyre then pump it back up with high psi air compressor.
