It is connected to the negative post on the Coil for the tacho pickup.

there should be a two wire plug on top of ur intake right at the front with a yellow/black and a yellow/white in and blue and green out, the blue and green goto the eng rev sensor, the sensor sits between ur water pump and the alt just above the aircon idler pully.
and i just realised i read the drawing wrong so i was hookin the negative coil wire to a yellow and blue not a yellow and black so it prob does work. and u dont know where the oil pressure sending unit is do ya, i found the pressure switch so my oil light comes on but i cant find the sender for the gauge

TB42 pressure sender will be on the drivers side of block near the middle
between the oil filter and fuel pump

yeh nah thats the pressure switch, i seriously cant find the sender for the guage i hooked the switch up to the gauge and it just went all the way to the top, hooked it to the oil light, it came on with the key and went off like it should, might just not be lookin in the right place, then i was also wondering if the engine is out of a model with no oil pressure gauge would it have a sender unit at all? i know the engine is out of an 89 base model

i cant help ya coz mine was an RD28-T converted to a TB42 carby so the wires arent even there. best bet would be to get a gregories manual for a petrol and have a look at the wiring diagram
