3F to 2F swap. Any dramas?

I'm about to put a 2F into an FJ62 (currently 3F) as i have a good one here and the 3F is giving me no end of trouble. I know they're pretty much the same apart from 200cc but the 3F appears to be about 50mm shorter from the bottom of the sump to the top of the rocker cover. I'm wondering if I will have to extend my engine pipe to meet the exhaust manifold again? Can anyone confirm this? Any other inherent problems I will face? I haven't started yet but would like to get a heads up first. Cheers

A shorter sump to tappet cover measurement doesn't necessarily mean you well have to change the pipe. But if you do have to change it's no big deal just a pita. :D :D

I realise that but I want some input from someone who can answer the question from experience. Cheers.

You need to change bell housing,2f/3f look the same but are different ,the 3f runs 2 into 1off the exhaust manifold were the 2f runs a single pipe.
Apart from that from memory, which is poor,I don't think there is too much drama.

Thanks, I will be using both of the the 3F manifolds so that won't be a problem. I'm pretty sure the 3F bellhousing kick the gearbox around a few degrees so I will use the 3F bellhousing to avoid having to change the gearbox cossmember rubbers. It is mainly the manifold height I am concerned about and I don't want to take the car off the road longer than I need to. Thanks again guys. Anyone else?
