Gday i have an f78 rocky and i want to lift the front end to match my rear 2" lift. I heard you can just wind up the standard torsion bar, does any one know how much lift you can get out of doing this? Or what is the best way to go to get the front higher. Cheers

If it's anything like the Feroza torsion bars, crawl underneath and locate where they attach to the chassis at the back , just under the front seats.
You should be able to back off the lock nut, then simply wind 'em up. Just remember to tighten the lock nuts when you're done. You should easily get 2 inches.
Best to do it on a level surface and use a tape measure to measure the before and after heights at a predetermined point on the front bumper.
My advice would be to leave it with a slight tilt to the front. Don't go too high as they get pretty stiff if you do that. Also seriously consider removing your front sway bar while you're at it (just remember it's not really legal though) ...but it'll improve front articulation and ride quality.
The other thing you should be able to do is shave your bumpstops for s little extra down travel.
All the above is assuming it's a similar setup to the Feroza.

You can get around 50mm lift to an extent where the front still works okay offroad. Any more and you have no droop left, and the CV angles are quite large.
I had mine at 80mm lift first time we did it... damn it was nice and high, but you would hit a pothole and the noises were awful from the suspension bottoming out. Quickly wound that back down!
Are your coils 2"?... What brand? I could only find 40mm lift, Ironmans and Dobinsons.
Also, the front bumpstops are too small to shave any off.
Take your front swaybar off for 4x4ing... but put it back on for onroad use!
I reinstalled mine last week and was amazed at the difference in handling. I had gotten used to the boat like handling with no swaybar
And I have my stock bars wound up and Rancho shocks, so it would be so much worse with anything less.
Heavy duty torsion bars may give an improvement in handling also.
My rear swaybar however lives in the shed
the RS9000X's do a good job of settling the back down if needed.

Driving yours back from Maitland Nick, even with the swaybar it wasn't that bad. You could probably get away without it permenantly. Or just chrome it so it fitted in with your other Bling.
Layto....
