Custom Panhard bushes

What bushes are people using for custom panhards.
Are the Patrol lower trailing arm bushes to soft n flexy for a panhard?

Yeah i know they are different but it'll all be custom anyways.
But will they be to soft to use them for a panhard?

nissan or toyo panhard bushes are fine, I would say go the rubber ones, 3rds will sell them for you, will do the rings as well if you want other than that get the poly ones from just about anywhere

What's it for; is it just for offroad or will it be driven on road as well? Is it for the shorty?

On and Offroad.
Im gunna get another chassis and start working on it, make a MWB with a 3Link + Pan front. Hopefully the nissan traling arm bush will be hard enough to stop sideways movement

I'd be going with the standard rubber panhard bushes then. I think there is too much movement in the control arm bushes, where as there's heaps more rubber in a panhard bush. I know you don't want to have to sort out steering shimmy issues again so I'd be trying to limit as many chances of it happening as possible. Keep us posted as it sounds like a cool project.

Yeah, less issues with shimmy the better! I'll prob try n use standard panhard bushes, hte more standrad stuff i use the easier/cheaper it works out to be i guess.
Just getting abit of a parts list together.

Hey mate if you are going to be making up custom mounts etc I would be looking at using the late series 2 on upper ball joint style.
They flex heaps and I believe will last longer and do a better job of controling the lateral load.

They are a bit more expensive but I think prob. worth it.
