Just a quick question...

I am getting a new clutch installed in my Vitara and was wondering if $720 isnt too expensive for an exedy clutch (including new bearings, plates, flywheel machined, fresh oil, etc) and $790 for the heavy duty equivalent.

Also, would it be worthwhile getting the HD version as i do a fair bit of offroad and sand driving (when it is running), however the missus also uses the car a fair bit and doesnt have the strongest legs (far more aesthetic than practical)???

The heavy duty clutch would not be that much heavier than the standard one, i'd definitely go for the heavy duty

I concur. If you have a hydraulic clutch there wont be much difference. Even my 1500kg clutch in my skyline isnt that hard to depress (just a fair bit more bitey than the stock one)

I got my exedy hd in my mazda for 350 a few years ago. I guess 350-450 is about what you'd pay + labour (3 or 4 hours which sounds ok i guess)
