hey i am wondering wat i can take out of my 91 vitara to make it lighter

apart from the obvious (seats) i don't know how much there is to strip. As it is the Vitara is a fairly light car with little unneccessary add ons

bumpers,panels. remake out of fibre or plastic.

If you dont need it, bugger it off. Unless its needed for roadworthy mirrors etc.

yer i was going to get into the panels and take some of the weight from there but i got to still have nice respectable car

convert it to two wheel drive.. remove transfer case :|
remove one of the rubber bands off the engine.. as said they are light enough.. if you want more power then put a bigger donk in it

If you really want to loose weight. get rid of trasfer, body, chassis, diffs housings, replace with sierra stuff. keep, power steering 1.6 engine auto gearbox diff centers. :D

How bout carpet, and the noise deadning tar under the carpet. thats good for atleast 10-15 pounds

Why do you want to make it lighter? And would a couple of kilo's either way make a difference?
