which one? 2lt or 2lt-e ?

i would suspect cambelt has slipped or an intake restriction.

genrally the 2lt-e has EFI writen on the intake tube. otherwise the most accurate way to tell is the acclerator cable goes to the intake manifold. on the 2lt the accelerator cable goes the fuel pump.
