Went out the other night and stuffed my drivers side cv. Cracked the outer ring.
Tried a search but couldnt come up with any relevant information.
Would a chinese one stand up to some punishment or am I better to go for NTN's? (having trouble getting them).
Worth trying a wrecker?
So what do people recommend?

Unfortunately there isn't much choice,Thats why people change the diffs , I guess you broke it while turning under load or skipping the wheel. If you have a front locker also you must be very carefull to only power in a straight line as when turned they are at there weakest. NTN would be better but as you say are hard to get,you can go the birfield ring, but there is a lot of mucking arround grinding the ball inside,to stop it I guess you might have to go smaller tyres or drive slower or change your diffs<Cheers Paul.
BLOWNZUK 1.3 efi,sc14 supercharger,hilux diffs,detroit lockers,stage 4 rockhopper,6 point cage,35 muddies.
Thanks for the reply.
No front locker. I do know the pro's and cons of having larger tyres though. Ive wheeled it harder before and not broken anything.
I guess thats just the way it goes though. May have put a stress fracture in the outer cup on another outing i guess.
Anyone else that can point me in the right direction would be happy to hear what you have to say...
