GQ SHORTY CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER KIT - HELP NEEDED

Having repowered my Nissan Shorty with a LT1 chevy I find the clutch pedal only travels a short distance from the floor before it engages.
My question is "Is this a problem" and should I be fitting the kit that Marks sell - have read a little about it on their web site.
What do you Australians do - I am in NZ

Could you shorten the pushrod between your slave cyl and clutch fork?

will shorting the rod have the same effect as what Marks do - they supply a sleeve which you press fit into the existing Nissan slave and then use their smaller dia piston. Apparently it makes for a longer travel with the pedal

No idea. Personally I would recommend going with the professional kit made by people who know what they're doing and have dealt with the same problem a million times over than some idiot on the end of a computer trying to think laterally (but failing) (me, I mean).

the sleeve that is pressed in causes the cylinder to reduce in volume, this reduction allows the same volume of fluid moved from the master cylinder to move the smaller piston further, the stroke of ur standard slave will only cause a shorter pushrod to disengage ur plates less, if u need more stroke out of that cylinder get the kit
