Thats not a bad price, you should go for the pyrometer as it will give you an ongoing indication of the performance of the vehicle. If you go one step further and get the fuel pump modded, you will gain extra fuel = more power. Make sure that you get a garrett turbo.

Check out the kits available from AXT Turbos in Melbourne. They are very similar in price. We are an agent for them and sell many of these kits, the water to air cooler is a great addition to your kit. These PWR intercooler kits contain the cooler all water lines, seperate radiator with thermofan, excellent quality bosch water pump and all wiring necessary. The thermo fan is boost actuated, so it wont be on all the time, just when you are boostn it.
With the AXT turbo kits and appropriate engine building we have been able to see power and torque increases up to 220kw and 1200nm of torque at the wheels. Certainly this has an appropriate cost and substantially more than $4200.
If you need anymore info on these products, call or email anytime.

I'd recommend an AXT turbo, thats what mine has on it, kicks in nice n low down so pulls hard :D

They are located in victoria, AXT take a garrett turbo & wack half of there own contraption on it, works well & they did a nice job of mine when i needed it repaired

AXT: (03) 9793 7740

That sounds pretty good, I paid $3200 for the denco kit on its own, with the water cooled turbo, and I fitted it myself. A good 3 inch mandrel exhaust will set you back about $800 from Beaudesert in QLD, and then you have to get it all fitted and tuned, so to me, you are getting a good deal. Is that from Turbotech in Perth? That is who I bought mine through and they were good to deal with.

I spoke to the owner of Racebred down in warragu/morewell area.

They are doing the denco kit fitted drive away for $2600 exhaust would be another $500.

So that price is so so...

Gettin car turboed, should have it back wednesday thursday, next week. Should i be expecting worse diesel economy in everday driving?

I opted for no Boost compensator, 3inch zaust no muffler, and im gettin a pyro and turbo timer.

Turbo set up is Sweitzer 3 inch dump, zaust to suit. i believe the turbo is non-water cooled, they said they get more power this way......

Thats a good price, and Denco's aftersales service is BRILLIANT.. Well worth looking at just for that .

All off the shelf kits put out ballpark the same figures. It just depends on where in the power range it kicks in EG 1500rpm or 3000rpm.

I had issues with mine (the original setup instructions not the kit), Denco themselves called me after reading my issues on this board and another, and they fixed it at no cost, and threw in goodies as well.

Power was excellent once setup properly, - mine being Auto as well, and complete with everything you need inc a differnet airbox and the exhaust using oem mounting points... The kit is piss easy to fit up. But fit yourself, and get it setup by someone who knows what they are doing. Saves a lot of pain and $.

I would go one again without hesitation..

$400 for pyro is robbery. Check Ebay...

Its now owned by GUJOHNNO.. you can ask him about it. I think its now running 16psi..

that price is pretty much standard Denco RRprice. You should look at buyin them off your mate at Racebred, and selling them on ebay at a great profit if that price inc drive away

We do a full AXT extreme turbo kit with water to air intercooler on the first day, the second day is spent on the dyno and tuning her up.

The DTS kit through MTQ is a better turbo, they use a mitsubishi TD05 that is water cooled and has 360 degree thrusts, much better for high boost and turbo life.

after reaserching other people kw output from their td42t i was abit suspicious of what i had been told about my car, and convinently did not recieve a dyno print out.

Any way after further investigation the actuall figures are:

83KW rear wheels.

108KW at MOTOR or 146hp

This is running 33"S 4.1 ratios.

Still not bad,

Heaps more power 326nm of tourque and i easilt 150kph all round much better drive, and sounds cool as fu ck...
