Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey guys,

I have just fitted Hilux Dual Transfer cases to my hilux,
problem is they are very worn and in need of some repair.

I have searched quite a bit, and have found lots of info about
fitting dual transfers, but none about repairing them.

Has anyone on here done a rebuild on duals before?
If so, is it hard to do?
Where'd you get the parts for the rebuild?
How much did it cost you?

Any help would be most appreciated.

If it's just the cases you'll need a top shift case rebuild kit and one to suit foward shift case if the adapter kit is new it won't need doing if it does take the bearings to a bearing shop like CBC bearings and they will be able to match them up with new ones

Were do I get the rebuild kits from though?

Toyota will do them no doubt, but for how much?

Who else makes them?

thoguht i saw some on ebay??
surely some 4x4 spares joints will carry the kits.

Got my rebuild kits at Repco as they were the cheapest.
Or try CBC bearings.

Do you remember how much you paid for the rebuild kit from Repco?
Was it hard to do the job? How long did it take you?

Also, are any special tools needed for the job?

croc country or terrain tamer will do a reasonable priced kit, try ebay searching croc country and email any of the guys that do them to get the best price

Around $200 trade from memory.
Torque wrench and hydraulic press help. Took about half aday, but would recommend a hand from someone who knows what they are doing, unless your a tradesman.
