I understand that the front panhard has to mount to the chassis near the steering box to keep it equal length/parallel to the steering link to maintain good steering, though when setting up the rear is it better to setup the rear panhard from the same side of the chassis or the opposite side????

Same side, although Wranglers dont seem to worry about this.

same side, reduces yaw on compression/rebound when going over big bumps like drainage mounds or if you like driving over jumps. keeps front and rear axles in the same track when travelling straight ahead.

The only reason jeeps have different facing panhards is because americans drive on the passengers side and they only convert the front steering/panhard not the rear. So at the end of the day when you go over a bump the front goes to the right and the rear goes to the left, messed up eyy

Ah, makes sense. I thought there may have been some tricky geometry issue involved. Cool, all from the same side them. Thanks for this.

worst thing i kno of from experiance is with both on same side like a gq when u fly around a right hand corner on the power with sway bars out they pick up left wheels realy easily
i dont know if having the panhards opposing will help stop this but i do know having them both on the one side does cause it
actually now that i think about it opposing may make it worse as you wouldnt have the rear panhard pulling you downwards
anyone know if this is true?
