Hey this is probably a stoopid question but Is there anyone in here that knows were I can get bump stops for my 1989RR that are 1.5" longer and made from a softer rubber ?

cut the bottom of a second bumpstop so its only a rubber block.
then use a STRONG glue to glue the block to the bumpstop seat on the axle housing. make sure the glue is very strong.

remove yours and place a spacer between the bottom plate and the chassis.
you can deicide how big just use longer h/t bolts.
Scorpion racing Uk Do sell longer manufactured ones IIRC

I found a good 10 minutes in the workshop with a couple of off-cuts of 3 X 2 solved the bumpstop clearance.... Lasted 6 months in the mud prior to my body lift - no worries.
If you were after a real professional job you could use tanalised timber

OK I'll ask the dumb question,
WTF is "tanalised timber" ??
(other than timber that has been "tanalised"
)

Spelling could be off but its phonetically correct.
Just timber that has been treated for a variety of wet conditions. Grade 1 -6 I think from memory 6 is for marine applications 5 is for below ground etc...
