Gday

Ive just got a question involving electric thermofans.
A few months back I bought a thermofan from the wreckers. Its seemed to be going good, until it started making a sqealing noise... My question is... is there any way to pull it out and grease it up or something, or is it better to go new...

Thanks

I thought there may have been a circlip or something holding the fan onto the shaft. But even if you got the actual fan off, not sure if you could grease the bearing or not. Try spraying the bearing assembly with wd40, see if it makes a difference. wd40 is thinner than lanotec etc so try it first. If it does work, perhaps try and soak some lanotec into it. HD-15, the heavy duty stuff.

Good luck.

Not sure what yours is off, but I resurrected the one on my Alfa by taking the fan off (circlip) then compressed air/wd40, that was probably 5 years ago and it was still working fine last time I tried it.

Thanks guys,

The thermo is off the a/c condensor of a VN, which I used on my suzuki sierra. Got charge $80 at the wreckers :?

Will try the advice, thanks again!
