Toss your steel leaves fibreglass is here?

A US company
www.flex-a-form.com/products.asp has come up with these single fibreglass leaves but at $200 us a bit pricy but they do look cool.

definately has its pros'..but one big con, if it breaks...you are STUFFED!

has been around for eons (i.e. about as long as leaf springs). Doubt it would be legal, also doubt it is any better than a single-leaf steel spring.

Looks like not a lot of flex and they've already seen and produced a problem to wrap.

I would imagine this has some appeal where (a) shaving a few pounds off a vehicle's weight is really worth it, and (b) the spring doesn't have to do a huge amount. ie, it's for racing on a flat track, not for off-road use.

Warranty does not cover abuse, wrecks etc. who judges what abuse is?

there is a few cars that have fibre glass leaves standed, i found this out on my nissan serena, there are others cant remember what they where. but they worked fine in my 7 seater van
