yeah mate im getting bout, 400km per tank (in a 2.6 lwb 86)
mind u drive it like a granny, and i get round an extra 100km from a tank.
also round town the engine has got to work hard getting the paj up to speed time and time again.
i noticed a big difference when i just slowed down a bit

at a guess id say your new carby is set up different to the old one.
DO you have more power ? If not, maybe you have a vaccumm leak or your timing is out .
Have a play round with a few minor things to see if you can get it to improve.
My old EFI camira had the plug gap set at 1.1mm instead of aboiut.8-.9 . had trouble ideleing but it used to go heaps better. My old carollas timing advace was down by ear and used to be great on fuel, etc as they run at peak performance ( lol can i use that word )
