will 15 inch sunnys (off a cruza) fit on 95 gq 4.2 td like brake clearance and streering compononts, runing 33's cherrs

yeh should do, i got the 4.5 petrol and it fits no probs.
the td42 should have the same size brakes im guessing?

There actually better because the offset make the wheels stick out a bit more if your running cruiser wheels.

i Dont know i just went to the tyre shop and got them to try. the rim hit on the front caliper

the newer ones have larger brakes but i didnt think they came out until the 4.8

Didn't some of the GQ Ti models come out with twin spot front calipers that meant a 16" rim was required? Or was this only on the Petrol EFI models?
As mentioned, the cruiser wheels have a bigger offset (-13mm from memory) which makes them track wider. As a result of the offset, I found that with 33"s the tyre lightly touched the front mud flap when turned on lock. (TD42 DX).

i have a gq 92 ti efi and 15" sunnys fit fine with toy offset

A mate was telling me his navi has 15's on his 99 2.8GU, I don't know if the diffs are the same though... I have a set I am going home to put on this morning though, so I will know for sure soon eneough

Later model GU's do have bigger brakes, and dont fit 15s.
we tried on mates TD6 before I got mine, but Im still keen to try one for budget sake.. plenty of Simexs in 15's forsale none in 16s
