Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey guys,

Just wondering if removing the sway bar really does make a significant differance when offroading. When I took the stone gaurd off to do my body lift I was tempted to take it off, but I am a bit concerned about how this will effect my on road handling abilities. Because I have my torsion bars wound up hard, I imagine that I shouldn't get that much body roll anyway.

if your TB's are up, take the sway bar off. Dont throw it away though, may need to put it back on someday.

be careful though... u may need ur sway bar if u plan on gettin some air at the beach or whereever... like me i've got my torsion bars wound up an left the sway bar on.. i might take it off when i get down to phoenix... no beach down there but hey... tons of sand/dirt. so we'll see.

If I remember right I didn't notice any difference with it off on the road. It still seemed to handle very well. Off road it does help with more wheel travel.

You very soon get used to the slight difference in on road handling (negligible), and will find the ride is more comfortable...lets the IFS sort the bumps properly, rather than feeling them through the whole vehicle. Offroad, the difference is VERY noticable...significantly better flex.....

I asked my mechanic to take it off (it was there anyway) and he said he wouldn't do it because it wasn't legal, but if I wanted I could grab a few tools and do it while it was on his hoist

He said he was just covering his arse but it was worth takin it off, and he was right Yeah do it
