Removing Hilux draglink....Help needed URGENT!

Hi all
Just in the throws of moving the diff forward on my 85 and i have to take the draglink off but it has me stuffed on how to do it. I have the new shortened one coming from superior so i dont care if i trash the one i have i just need some ideas on how to get the bastard off!

look at each end and there will be a split pin remove this then where the split pin came from will have a slot in it unscrew this and then wiggle your steering wheel a few times to loosen it and it should pop right off

Thanx batcho all sorted now. Just found out the shocks are now rooted. Does it ever end? LOL

Sorry to butt in but how much did the draglink set you back. How far are you moving the diff and are you using relocation plates?

I am looking at doing something similar as my tyres hit bad

No probs champ. The draglink set me back $290 delivered from superior in qld. I also had to get the adjustable torque rod too. Im moving the diff forward 35mm. Im a shonk but so im just giving it a go by redrilling the spring perch's. The only drama i can see so far is making the bump stops work.

i've done the same with jst redrilling and i didn't even bother putting the bump stops back on... My shocks bottom out before they hit anyway..

Um dude.............. using your shocks as a bump stop is a quick way to root your shocks, and also your shock mounts.

yeh ive been there before, ur front shocks will start leaking soon
