Snorkel and Exo.

Ok, so Ive had a search around in the suzuki area (but probably not a decent enough search), and have found nothing.

What I would like to know, is how would I go about mounting a snorkel (or 2) on my sierra with an exo?

Would I have to put the snorkel(s) on and then make the exo to suit?
Because from what I was looking at, the A-Pillar exo bar takes up the space of the snorkel.

TIA.
Chris.

Ive been wondering about this too. Other than bending the bar around the snorkel pipe (ugly and probably not structurally sound), the only thing I can think of is to run it through the panel at the base of the windscreen a la range rover.

Anyone know why this wouldnt work?

EDIT: Rusty's beat me too it ;)

I was thinking this too, but it would probably get in the road of your vision most likely. Though I cant comment, having not seen it.

Why not build exo first and bend snorkel to up around it and follow same line (up windscreen frame). You could even mount the snorkel to the exo.

The one posted above doesnt look as though it would get in your way any more than a safari. In fact, now that Ive seen that Garth has done it Im going to unashamedly copy him :D

Wont look half as good though

hay midnight why dont you run a hose under the body an into the back of it (under the wooden door thingy) an mont a air box in there

or you could just run it up behind your seat

Or do what some other people have done an made there glove box an air box

I had an exo and snorkel that GWagen Steve put together, We used 3" steel tube for the snorkel and it was as strong as the exo, holding the weight of the Suzi a couple of times.

heres a couple of pics

I will see if I can get some others. But basically the snorkel was attached to the a pillar and the exo frame. The windscreen part of the exo was the rear bar from a LWB Sierra cut down in length

Could the exo tube up the A piller be the snorkle as well? or would the diameter of the exo tube be to small for the massive suction created by the Suzuki engine ;)

Prob not but i think u would create a weakness in the a pillar tube.
