Sounds great doesn't it!?!
That's what I loved about my Applause. I had a Unifilter Rampod on it, and loved listening to it SUUUUCK!
Is there much point changing the air intake on a Feroza? What is the black box for above the rocker cover? I am assuming something to do with induction noise and emissions.
I just had Wildcat extractors and a 2" system fitted to my Roza today that made a decent increase in power, as well as a quite nice exhaust note.

Black box improve low end torque. Google it and you'll find the torque curves with and without.

One question the black boxe has two entries. If for a reason i take the two entries switched will affect the air coming in?

Cheers AJ. That was one thing I found with my Applause. When I moved the Unifilter from being mounted to the throttle body to behind the headlight torque increased by a significant amount.

thats because you have lengthened the intake. I dont know how it works, but someone on bbs.daihard.org did a test a while back and it did improve.
The black box increases torque down low, by smoothing out a bump in the torque curve.
Strangely enough though, it also seeems so have LESS power at high revs.
Quite simply, if you drive your roza around town and want to rev it high, then take the ENTIRE intake out, and replace it with a small pipe and a pod filter.... if you 4x4, then leave the black box on there...
btw.. some have it, some dont

Basically, a shorter intake will provide more power and better high rev performance, while longer intake tracts will provide better low end torque and response. Many cars use dual length inlet manifold runners.

Excellent, thanx very much for the info and the link, guys. I think I will go for a the Pod/black box setup.
