I know a few have done this mod and or want it.

For the people that have it, how hard was it to drop the detent ball/s out and how effective was/is the mod.

There is a trader on pirate bb making and selling his own one soon, i have emailed and seeing how they are going.

Btw, this will be on a rig with welded rear, powertrax locker front and 31's, 1L case for now till i buy gears for the case.

I wouldn't say it would be worth doing with that set up. The big advantage is to slip it into low range rear drive with the hubs in. since you have no gearing there is not that much difference between low and high. No it wasn't very hard just a bit frustraiting fitting the sticks back in with out fouling on anything.

Removing the bearing is not that hard I also would probably wait till you have the gearing as its easy if case is apart. I am in the "want it class" I did the 2lo conversion years ago but instead of having to line up the single stick to push both forks I got a pop up stick which allows me to lift the shifter up and select which side i want to be on which is great. But the twin stick would be cool  therefor I want it!
