turbo problems

ahoy everyones
i have a little problem on my hands .. I've got a 97 -98 turbo deisal Xj
an it doesn't seem to have boost ... goes past 2 grand an doesn't seem kick in
it was fine before it was at the body shop an now it isn't
any help would be great
