80 series crankshaft

i have gone to get the big end bearings replaced in my cruiser (1992 , 4.2 diesel 1HZ with aftermaeket turbo ) and found the crankshaft is stuffed anyone have any ideas on a $price$ to get a second hand crankshaft and get it fitted ... i only want the crank shaft and timing belt changed nothin else cos i am sellin it soon but i heard some peopled o the rings and all that too cos the engines out . any help is good

Best of luck....seen cranks go for $250 on ebay, but your buying unseen and un tested, best to buy a runner motor and sell the old one as a rebuilder, take a weekend swapping them out and drive/sell/ plus theres warrenty and less chance it will go pear shaped....

anh idea what a second hand 1hz is worth ..... it has an after market turbo so can i just swap that over too or not worth it

turbo will swap straight over but the fuel will need to be tuned on the new engine.

theres a place out the back of beenlaigh called brisbane auto reconditiors or something like that, i cant rememeber the exact name
i will reply back later on with the name and address (dont have it on me atm)
got a 1HDT crank reco'd from there for $650
included a crank grind, crack tested and all peperowrk on the bearing resize's etc etc

i thaught i read somewhere that the crank in a 1HZ is different to a 1HDT and cant be ground as it uses a different hadening.
