LUX DUAL TRANSFERS

DOES ANYONE HAVE PICS OF DUAL TRANSFERS ON A HILUX PREFERABLY A SINGLE CAB AND PREFERABLY SOMETHING AROUND AN 03 MODEL I'M KEEN TO SEE WHERE THE SECOND CASE FITS IN

From the marlin crawler website -
"Installing a dual transfer case into a 4-cyl equipped truck requires moving your existing t/case back approximately 6.5 inches. The additional crawl box is installed between the transmission and t/case. "

What you have is not realy dual transfers its 1.5 transfers :)
You keep the whole orig transfer and add the second reduction half of a transfer with an adaptor.

In Blue is orig transfer
In green is adaptor
In red is second reduction box.

If you need to see pics of them in a vehicle search around there are a few people with them fitted.

Oh I just realised you will have a chain driven transfer if its in an '03.
That might make it a bit harder.

i'd see it as two transfers because the bit on the back that isn't used with the case being fitted is just a step down to drive the front shaft. It be interesting to see it dome in a ifs lux don't really hear of it :?:

trust me i'll be showing it off when i get it done and yeah its ifs but its f*ckin tough for an ifs so stop teasing me
also what happens with your tail shafts do they have to be modified due to the 6in move

yes both drive shafts have to be resized ;)

It's also pitty becase it will never be as good as a solid axle :rofl: nah hat's off to you for doing something diffrent
