how to cut the back of.... 9-inch for the rough cut, 4-inch for the finer details. when the canopy is removed, keep the part where the bolts go into the roof intact and just run your cut flush from that straight down.
you might want to bend the metal slightly after cuttinf to give abit of a curve on the edge, or just leave it and finish with a square edge.
to seal it back up... either bog up the body and fab up a rear wall that will fit inside the cab, or cut a rear wall that will fit flush with the outside of the body and weld it on (2nd slightly harder, as it would want to be spot-on to look good, but if done right it will look heaps beta)
keep me updated on how you end up doing it, coz i wanna do the same to mine down the track but im not sure which option ill take for putting the back wall/window onto the bod...

Raced against a sic little shorty MQ at Cliffhanger this year, had a stock RB30 in it with the back cut off just behind the seats. The roll cage formed the back wall and it ad a very simple rear try to keep it real light. Very cheap way to build a comp truck! Good luck with it.
