Lost in bible....

I have no idea been searching through bible for a hour now and can find the info or what i need to know specifically :sleeping: .

Ok here goes i would like to know exactly what i need to do after i install a 3" lift to my 1990 nissan patrol i have springs and shocks ATM

As in panhard rod caster correction and the like??

Also have a small suggestion maybe in the bible you could have a list of lifts and what is needed apart from the suspension also other things not just suspension and then maybe a "How To" section also as searching through the bible :sleeping: i have mainly come across things that have been done not how to do things. :idea: :?:

Depends how far you want to go..but off the top of my head :

Panhards
Drag Link
Extend Sway Bay Links
Brake Proportioning valve needs adjusting (or make up a different Bracket)
Extended Brake Lines (needed for a 4"lift dunno about 3)
Control Arms (maybe)
Diff Breathers (maybe)

Then of course there are the bits like mudflaps etc etc to keep it legal

What happens if i change nothing but the sprongs and shocks??

hot topic, there is many oppinions around!

what i have been led to believe is that there is no such thing as a 3" lift they are actually heavy duty 2". that said my friend put in a clamed "3 inch" lift, he needed caster correction bushes and shocks (which you have) and thats it.

i have 4" lift, and i did
Panhards.
Extended Brake Lines. (put back on the front and had a new rear one made)
caster plates.
RTC steering dampner.

still to come are adjustable control arms and radius arm spacers (to fit 36's with trimed guards)

best idear for you is to fit it and see how much lift it has given you, to see what you need, id say all you need is caster bushes, and 'pursuade' the brake line mounts a little in the right direction. (worst case)

but every car and lift are different so......

if you dont correct the caster then it will 'follow the road' making the on road drivability sh*t.

im not having a go back just informing you that i have purchased 3" springs through EFS And the front are Heavy duty the not quite three inches rather a 60mm lift if we want to be correct. so do i have the get plates or bushes for mine??

to be honest i dont think so, my father inlaw brought what i think is the same springs and brawn WELDED :shock: caster plates on, the car was very 'direct' in its steering and had a shocking death wobble, they were removed and bushes fitted, problem solved boss! :lol:

id say fit bushes, how ever ring EFS and see what their recomendation is.

u can run stock brake lines castors and stuff like that for a 3 inch as in we just done it in my bro inlaws lwb 4 inch and over you have 2 do castors and brake lines and panhard rods.etc etc

Thanks heaps fellas.

I will stick to just changing springs and shocks and see what she behaves like and then do what i need as it comes just step by step. if i get castor bushes what ones will i need 3 degree ones or less or what ???
