I put a greese nipple in the side of mine and every so often (about hour of use) i pump some greese into it and its lasted for around four years and is still going.

saw on a different forum last night that they fill u the sump with 80/90w and then run a small amount of oil through the line just to keep it happy.

Mine needs to run pretty much all the time to fill up my tank, so stopping on the side of the hway to pump some grease isnt going to be productive.

Thanks

my tank is a whoping 12 litres. got it all hooked up today and it takes 14 seconda to fill it from 60- 100 psi at idle. Ill get a check valve so when it cuts out the oil will auto drain back into the oil lubericator.

Its actually a hitachi comressor , the one on my shorty is a sanden. I guess if i ut a fair bit of diff oil through it and it drains back to the luber it all should be sweet.

took me half a day to do and about $100 all u inc check vavle. Definate must do mod that will save the supercrap compressor

Thanks

I need to do this to my Lux soon.
I burnt out an ARB pump doing mine and a mates tyres in a row :x
There isnt a hell of a lot of room though with aircon and PS.
I allready have a Sanden pump ready.

You guys pumping grease into them doesn't this eventually feed down the air lines and into your hoses/tank/tyres?
I was thinking of going the inline oiler on intake with a oil separater on the outlet with a feed line back to the oiler but it is a lot of extra crap if its not needed.

Is that in the sump part or into the lines. IM thinking of running vege oil to lubricate the comressor as i have plenty to spare and its free.

cheers

i pour straight into air in line of compressor you will need an air filter on air in as well
