Planning on buying a set of Bridgestone Duelers or Goodyear Wranglers (AT) for the gq. What sort of mileage can I expect from either tire? Should do about 90% of driving on blacktop. Also how are the Goodyear Wranglers MT?

Had AT Duelers on my GQ when I got it. I accepted that now I was in a 4b the thing wouldn't drive like a car anymore. Didn't realise until I got a set of Coopers on how crap the tires were. Admitedly they were about 50% worn, but on Road the STs are better than the Bridgstones ever were, even 30,000 later when they're at 50%.
No experience with the Goodyears.

Thanks. Love the look of the Goodyear though. Think that I would lean towards that tire. They have a 305/70/16 size. Could that fit without a lift

any tire 50% worn, will never handle like a new tire.
Your coopers are 50% worn already at 30,000 ?

I have the desert dueller A/T's and i find them pretty good. So far i ahve done 35.000 on them and still a heap left and they were on there when i bought the gq. They handle a lot better than my bf mud terrains on teh road.

As it turns out, no. Had to replace a front one I killed being an idiot (belted it out of alignment and didn't notice so chewed the outside up) and comparing to the old ones it's closer to 35% gone after about 35k. I should pull out the ruler, though I just did another 4k over the last two weeks on the new ones.
Yeah a new tire is better than an old but even after 35K these things feel better than the car did when I got it. Just my experience, it was a few years ago too so my memory may have faded, but I've never slid around in the wet on these like I used to.
