Problem Fitting front Diff Assembly
Hi
I got a second hand front diff assmebly (disk-disk) of a guy on the weekend to fit my '88 highline. Now that i have gone to fit it the control arms are to wide for it.
Has anyone had a similar problem and fixed it or do i have the wrong diff?
Cheers

Wanted: Car trailer or beaver tail truck, let me know what you got
No... the diff centre is on opposite sides (D2 offset to drivers side, P38 just passengers side of centre of housing, runs past the fuel tank which is on drivers side), the trailing arms attach to the diff housing differently, the 'spring seats' are different, I THINK the shock mounting location and watts linkage are different, the swaybar brackets are different....I was wondering the other day if a series 2 disco back end is the same as the p38 ?
84 Rangie, 3 inch spring lift, 2 inch body, Megasquirted 4.6, R380, rear Maxi, 34x11.5 JT2s. Simex FM installed.
