Has anyone used 80 series style radius arms on their GQ? (eye bushes on the rear the arms)

Hey dave,

unbolt one radius arm at the diff end and see how easy it actually swings up and down. the pin type bush doesn't limit it as much as you would think.

cheers

cheers, thanks oondy.
Wasn't actually inquiring for that reason though, I was thinking the 80s style is stronger. (We know how the bush seats in the GQ chassis bracketry can break out under high stress)
Dont worry, if I go that way I'm sure you can make drop arms to suit it ;)

Cheers.

mine are done. I used thirds arms and threw the swivel bush. made up out of a crush tube and brackets and It is easy to do. I broke my standard arms using them to lever my diff so i could line up the bolts in my thirds arms. I had one hand on them. They had not been abused and were such a poor crystal structure. I think competing on them is plain dangerous.

When you say "mine are done" bru21 are you saying your arms have the 80s bush set up where it bolts to the chassis?

cheers

yes I no longer use the factory arms or principal. I run 80 series style double shear bolt. I used the front arms that thirds make without the swivel. (essentially 80s arms that bolt up to a nissan. sorry I wasn't clear. I had pics in my members
