Ball joint Spacer again??

Post by hairy one »

I have looked back through here on any info regarding the Ball joint spacer's for the l300 or early Pajero's.

Red Rocket has a drawing of it on here but I an mot able to get it any more.

Has any one got some dimensions for this so that it can be made or at least a contact No for where I can purchase one set from.

Don't like my chances of getting the car off the road & quickly making a set whilst it's pulled apart.

While you are doing this get 4 longer bolts as you will need them that hold the top 'A' arm onto the chassis mount as to put more shims in you run out of adjustment.

The Ball Joint flip in as far as you can go without needing longer bolts - if you cranked your torsions even more after the spacer is in you may go towards rectifying this problem but I doubt it. I needed 2 shims for each bolt with the BJ flip.

You wheel alignment will be waaay up the wop and it will be 'knock kneeed' \ /

If you don't have free wheel hubs and you wind it up higher, I'd say it is almost a must to try and save cv's (boots)

Didn't JTop post that early Paj control arms have pressed in ball joints? Stick your head under it...

Yes Scott, early paj's and L200's, including my '94, definatly have pressed in ball joints, I assume L300's will be the same.

Thanks guys . I may have been off with the series 1 Paj but the *300 *has got bolt on BJ's.

NJ I was kinda expecting that I would need to change the bolts but wasn't sure how much longer the new High Tensile bolts would need to be.
