i am cleaning my chassie on my vitara and there is a thinck layer of some rubber stuff and it looks like the rust is getting in behind it and i have tried heaps of ways to get it off but it is not coming of easy

is it soft like sound deadener stuff? if so i spent ages on my drover with a scraper.. took a while but much easier to see if there is rust ther eor not

Give it a good soaking with degreaser......hit it a couple times to soften it up. Then wash it off with a Hot High pressure washer.
I have done this on my brother in laws car and with water temp at 90c it came off like butter......

which begs the question, What are you needing to wash butter off with a high pressure washer?
