Hi to the forum
I am looking at purchasing a NJ series pajero ( automatic ) with the 3.5 litre DOHC motor.
Apart from the mormal wear and tear for the age of the car is there any inherent problems with that model or the DOHC motor.

One last question what is the average fuel consumation for an automatic model.

Thanke in advance.

Nigel,

Probably the only thing with the 3.5ls is the valve stem seals are a mongrel to change and they'll probably need changing (common fault- smoke at idle).

you'll probably get 12-15l per 100k on 31's

The are some post's about the throttle butterfly's/screws, falling out and going through the motor with expensive results.
