G'day all, has anybody had interference with their UHF when using their HID's?
C'ant use the UHF at all, it's like the squelch is wide open.
Moved the antenna away from the ballast without any success.
Any idea's on how to solve this?
Thanks.

I know VERY little about HIDs, so I'm probably VERY wrong.
At a VERY rough guess, I'd say the control box/ballast(?) isn't earthed properly. Check ALL your connections carefully.
Silly question - do your HID box and UHF share a common earth connection?
Good luck,
Scott

G'day Scott, must check it out.
I fitted them to a set of Super Oscars.
The thing is I fitted a set to the wife's car's headlights and it interferes with the FM if the station is week, the same as my car.
G'day J-top, the radio is a Uniden UH013.
If I find anything I'll let you know.

My HID's interfere with the FM when the signal is very weak. Haven't had time to look for a fix yet.
