befor any one says it. i have tried search but i keeps comming up with (page cant be displayed) on both mine and the handbrakes computers.
anyways.
looking at a ratio change and diff lock etc. as i am building this up for a comp rig i was wondering whether to go gu front diff or stay with gq, i heard the gu's cv's are stronger, but due to the tons of gq's out there, has anyone had succes with making the gq's cv stronger???
now the questions
*now as far as i understand the gu's diff is wider than gq's correct? by how much?
*is there much machining work to get to the same track width? would you worry about it?
*steering arms would also be different correct? as the steering dampner on the gq goes from chassis to steering arm and gu from panhard to steering arm!
*is the gu's diff a straight bolt on job??
*would i be better offering some moneys for my mates rolled gu's diffs and slapping them both under for a winder track and more stability?
also do gu's run bigger brakes than gq's? can they be bolted up to a gq.
are there any brake upgrades for gq's
i know running 36" tyres will play havoc with cv's reguardless of gq or gu diffs but i need something a litttle stronger than the ones i get, also does any one have a problem smashing fwh, i used 2 avm's on the left side and smahed the guts out of both of them running another brand and is all good, what fwh do yous recomend
thanks for any advice or info in advance. Duane
