checking out a 1977 shorty bj40

Post by udm »

Have just been checking out an old 1977 bj40 shorty, it looks nice and complete...
but, what do you really have to look for in these cars? how can you tell in what condition the engine and fuel system is, etc?

btw, what are the most common mods suspension/engine? we would like to build up some sort of rock toy, we would have 35" tyres for it.

SPOA you and your brother can do than easy, there is plenty of tech in the toyo bibles on how to, gearing would be good, I would go 37s and depending on the engine it will prolly be worth re powering it
If the above post did not offend you in any way please PM me so I can try harder!!
