Caster Measurement

This is a bit tricky and involved.

I'm installing GQ axles under my Rover. I know a waste of good GQ axles!

To establish a decent caster angle I've set the bare chassis up so it is perfectly horizontal.

I have the rear housing so the mounting face for the diff center is perfectly vertical. I've done the same wih the front. This is all done with the housings at their final ride height.

I'm no expert but assuming the mounting faces are all verticle the drive line should line up with the output flanges of the (Nissan GQ) transfer case. When installing the driveline I can get all drive flanges to be parallel. On this basis I expect it to steer and not vibrate.

Am I headed up the correct path?

The engine is a blown 1UZ (Toyota quad cam) and it's all topped off with a DAKAR (Bushranger) body.
