Are you talking springs or body lift. If body lift, I sell kits that include everything you need depending on how you modify the steering.

OME isn't too expensive in the grand scheme of things.

To save a few bucks you could just buy the springs and use Commodore shocks and Hilux or whatever people are using for the front.

ok

as Jim said just buy good quality OME dakar springs. They aren't that expensive, proven to work and have a good life cycle, especially on Sierras.

there is probably a reason no one has them...or owns up to having them.

cheaper isnt always better.

Id think it would ride like a skateboard and flex about the same.

I hope you didn't pay $750 for a no name brand off the internet. For that money you could get the OME Dakar stuff

Posted: Wed Jun 06, 2007 10:42 pm
by skez

i got a full kit from a local suspension dealer: west oz springs in welshpool, WA.
bushes, 2in lifted springs, shockies all round (desert fox), full bush kit also
800 bucks.. sure its not 600 bucks + postage but its proven and hell its a lot easier to get feedback from a real local oz company.

either way good luck.

SO you just asked at an ARB store, or did you jump online and the phone, send emails to places, and look for other stockists? Have you considered the phrase "you get what you pay for". Last time i rode in a zook with a cheap ebay kit on it, it was garbage.

well how did they go ??
do me a favour before you bolt the lower shock mount pull the shock down and see how far past the lower shock mount they go with the new springs i bet its about an inch
i brought a sierra not so long ago with 2inch kings 2inch shackels and rancho 5000's shocks and they only have 1inch past lower bolt on level ground very disapointing the guy put it in a shop and spent $3400 to get it done also got a body lift at same time, but $3400 and its high, stiff and restricted pour guy.

any anyone after some springs i have a large range of lifted sierra, hilux and cj springs left overs from other projects for sale. as well as standeds that are good to get reset.
(reset 3 inch springs work great cost around $80 a pair to get done, if you pull them out).

I have that kit under my zook and havent had any probs only thing i did was bent a leaf spring when i hit an embankment but $60 to fix wasnt a drama i recken there pretty good just make sure you fit them correctly i.e drivers side in the right spot.
