Gday,

Just about to pull the motor out of this VS commodore i have.

Where are the lifting points on these things?

Do i need to take the Intake manifold off to get to them or do i have to fit some?

Thanks

Dave.

No you don't need to take the intake manifold off. The should be two lift points diagonal on the top of the engine, one front right and one rear left. If you can't see them they may have been taken off.

they should be on the heads diagonaly from eachother.
i think theres one near the firewall on the passenger side and the rivers side closest to the front.

make sure you have a spreader bar when lifting the engine out, other wise you will crack the tappet cover on the lhs.

Clayton's Racing: The lift points must have been removed. There are holes there but no hooks.

Ended up using some heavy duty straps. She came out no probs.

Now the fun really begins!

Thanks for your imput guys.
