G'day
I'm stuck with figuring out the wiring for my spotties in my drover,

here's the story

Spotties work with highbeam no worries, but turning it to low beam spotties' off.... turning the lights off.. spotties' on... even if its headlight is completely off..or park lights on... spotties on... it has me stumped..even i followed the wiring diagram that came with the relay kit.

had a search but i'm not too sure about this "negative system" and "positive system"

anyone got idea how to make it work

OK, I'm guessing here:

I reckon you have negative switching lights, and you've taken a constant 12V feed for your relay & have selected the wrong wires for switching.

At a guess, you have constant +12V direct from your battery, and a relay switching signal from the ground side of your high beam filament.

How does this work?

When your hign beam is on, your relay has +12V from your battery, and relay ground is through your low beam filament.

When you're on low beam, you have +12V on one side of your relay coil, and the other side is held at +12V by the +12V feed to your low beams. So your spotlights are off.

Turn your headlights off, and your spotlights are on because you have a constant 12V on one side of your relay coil, and the negative side is earthing through your low beam filaments.

Parking lights have no effect, because your lights are on whenever your low beams are off.

To fix your problem, you need to find a positive feed for your relay which is ONLY on when your lights are on. A simple solution is to power your spotlight relay across the two OUTSIDE wires on your headlights. These wires will ONLY have 12V across them when your high beam is on.
